A whirlwind, one-day tour of Boston with Kiddos 🧥🌂
When traveling outside of the US, we like to make our connection domestically instead of overseas. For our Ireland trip, we chose the nonstop flight from Boston to Dublin. We decided to spend one night and one full day in Boston to explore as much as possible before the flight.
As I was booking our hotel room, I couldn't initially figure out why the hotels were so expensive (for a seemingly random summer weeknight). Turns out we were in town for the Stanley cup🙈. Because the majority of the hotels were sold out/super expensive, we used points to book two rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott in the Theater District. They rooms were quite dated and had we not waited until last minute, we probably would have stayed elsewhere. That being said, the location was perfection (inexpensive uber ride from the airport🙌) and we were not too disappointed with the room because we didn't spend much time in it😆.
In the evening of our arrival, we enjoyed dinner at Teatro and explored and tried new treats in Chinatown. For our daytime exploration, we got a late start, but still managed to visit Quincy market, followed by dessert at Mikes, then Paul Revere’s house and the Boston Children's Museum!
We thoroughly enjoyed our day in Boston, despite the rain and chilly weather:) If you had only one day in Beantown, what would you see?
